Transferless Delivery

Information regarding risks and policy around using transferless technology

Written by Rodina Duazo

Important — Read Before Using:
Venues may refuse to accept tickets from a Google or Apple Wallet and require the ticket to be scanned from within the primary app. Use of this feature is at your own risk.

If you transfer a ticket that has already been delivered via Transferless Delivery or that you intend to deliver via Transferless Delivery, you are guaranteed a denied entry. The ticket will still appear valid to the fan entering the venue regardless of the type of ticket but the scan will fail and the fan will be denied entry to the event. You should never attempt to transfer a ticket, regenerate a barcode or do anything at all with a primary ticket you intend to deliver via Transferless Delivery.

What is Transferless Delivery?

Transferless Delivery lets you deliver digital tickets to a buyer without transferring the tickets out of your account. Instead, the buyer receives a secure URL where they can view the tickets and scan them directly at the venue.

This works for Rotating Barcodes, NFC Tickets, and any ticket that has an "Add to Wallet" button on the primary platform.

How it Works:

A transferless ticket link is a URL that gives a buyer direct access to view and use tickets without the seller ever transferring ownership of the tickets out of their account.

When a buyer opens the link, they see the tickets and can scan the barcode directly from the link at the venue. The tickets stay in the seller's primary account the whole time.

Here is an example of one:

The URL should be treated like actual tickets as anyone with access to the URL can use the tickets and attempt to access the event.

INTEGRATION WITH SECURE MY PASS

Lysted has integrated with Secure My Pass (SMP), a third-party service that generates transferless links. Once integrated, Lysted can automatically deliver SMP-generated links for your orders.

To get started, create an SMP account and register your API token in your Lysted settings. See our SMP Help Article for a full walkthrough.

To use a SMP link for fulfillment, add the internal note SMPWALLET to your inventory (SMPMANUALBIND for non-transferable events).

LYSTED POLICY ON TRANSFERLESS USE

As of December 3, 2024, Lysted no longer supports transferless links for AXS, TM Account Manager, SeatGeek, or Paciolan events outside of the SMP integration. Automated transferless delivery for these platforms must go through SMP.

Our fulfillment team will not have the ability to troubleshoot the creation of transferless links via SMP. If an order is pending fulfillment and the event is within 24 hours, our team is authorized to remove wallet notes and transfer tickets to buyers.

If you do not want our team to initiate a transfer under any circumstance, please add SELLER WILL FILL into the internal notes field. By adding this note you agree to be solely responsible for the fulfillment of that sale.

Here is a breakdown of the primary and secondary markets for transferless use that the SMP integration supports:

Supported Primaries

  • Ticketmaster - Live

  • AM (OSS) - SMP Links Only

  • AXS - SMP Links Only (must sell as full group)

  • Paciolan - Not supported through API

  • Ballpark / Tickets.com - Not Supported through API

Supported Secondaries

Certain marketplaces accept wallet links as a delivery method as long as it is not a barcode integrated sale. Any barcode integrated sale must be delivered via barcode.

How can I use Transferless Delivery?

Before Tickets Are Sold

There is a specific way to notate listings if you'd like to utilize transferless delivery.

It’s a good idea to sweep the account from Lysted to ensure it is up to date and add the internal note SMPWALLET to your inventory (SMPMANUALBIND for non-transferable events). We recommend adding SMPMANUALBIND as a default if you are unsure because it will attempt regular smpwallet before attempting to use manual binding.

Note: You must put the marketplace exclusion note - NOTNOW - in the internal notes section of your listing if intending to fill via wallet link as Ticketmaster does not accept links for delivery.
