Listing on Stubhub

Updated over a week ago

Effective June 30th 2023, you will be required to have an active StubHub account email address added to Lysted to post inventory to their website. This compliance requirement is going into effect for every consignment provider in the industry, and is not unique to Lysted. Stubhub is requiring all consignment providers to provide this information, so that they know who is selling tickets on their platform.

You will continue to manage listings, sell tickets and receive payments through Lysted. Nothing will change in regards to how tickets are sold or delivered. You will not see any active listings or sales in your own Stubhub account.

DO NOT LIST TICKETS ON YOUR OWN STUBHUB ACCOUNT. LISTINGS ON YOUR OWN STUBHUB ACCOUNT ARE IN NO WAY CONNECTED TO LYSTED.

This requirement just stipulates that we register your existing StubHub account email address as a consignee on our platform. This email address will then be verified by Stubhub, which will activate your listings. Be sure to use the exact email address that is registered with your Stubhub account. In the event that you don't have a Stubhub account, please register for one on Stubhub.com.

Instructions for linking your account

Step 1 - Create a Stubhub account (skip this step if you already have a stubhub account)

  • Click here or navigate to Stubhub.com to create an account. Enter the required fields and hit create account.

Step 2 - Link your account to Lysted.

  • Navigate to the settings tab in Lysted

  • Under "Stubhub Integration" click "Enable"

  • Check Opt-in to StubHub Integration

  • Enter your Stubhub account email address

  • Click Save

Relisting Tickets Purchased Through Stubhub on Lysted

StubHub now requires sellers to flag if tickets have been purchased on StubHub and then relisted for sale through their site. As Lysted exports to all major marketplaces (including Stubhub), this rule would apply to you if you opted into Stubhub via the integration email.

If this is not notated, and you have any issues with a sale made for StubHub that you were planning to deliver with tickets purchased on StubHub, they have stated they will not be able to help if the listing is not properly marked as relisted when the listing is created on StubHub.

"Under this policy, if brokers resell tickets on StubHub without using the Resell option and the original seller is unable to fulfill the order, which subsequently affects their ability to deliver the tickets to their buyer:

They will also be held liable for your canceled sale, according to our Seller Policies
We will no longer accept a proof of purchase to waive associated charges

This applies to any new listings created on or after August 1st, 2023 – no action is required for any previously existing listings."

In order to properly notate that your tickets were originally purchased on Stubhub and then subsequently relisted, you will need to put the following note in the internal notes section of your listing:

@SHBUY[XXXXX]

***XXXXX represents the purchase confirmation number of your Stubhub purchase***

Note: This ONLY needs to be applied if the tickets you're listing were purchased on Stubhub and you plan to have them posted through Stubhub as well. If you purchased through any other site, this entire step is unnecessary.
