All You Need to Know About Sweeps.

A simple guide to what a Sweep does on a purchasing account.

Overview

A Sweep is how Sync pulls the latest information from your purchasing account — things like new events, purchases, tickets, and barcodes. This article goes over what a sweep is, when to run a sweep, and how to run sweep.

What is a Sweep?

A Sweep (also called a Crawl or Account Sweep) tells our system to go into your purchasing account and pull in the most up-to-date information. When you run a Sweep, we scrape the account and bring back barcodes, tickets, and/or assets so they show up in your Tickets tab and can be delivered to your marketplace orders.

When should I run a Sweep?

Common moments to sweep your account:

  1. Barcodes just hit your account — Sweep to pull those barcodes into the system so they can attach to your POS and be delivered.

  2. You're prepping for a big on-sale (NFL, MLB, etc.) — Sweep your team accounts once tickets are available so the system can bring in the barcodes.

Where to run a Sweep

  1. Navigate to the Settings tab in Lysted

  2. Go to the Logins tab at the top of the screen

  3. Find the account you want to sweep

Once you have found the account you want to sweep, click the three dots to the right of an account, and then click account sweep.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long should a Sweep take? Usually just a few minutes. Timing depends on the account's volume — if the account has a lot of new active tickets, it may take a little longer to pull everything in. Give it a few minutes to finish before checking your Tickets tab.

Can I run a Sweep if my account has bad credentials? No. A Sweep requires valid login credentials for the account. If the credentials are incorrect or out of date, the sweep won't run — update the account with the correct credentials first, then try again.
