This document explains how to understand and manage the different Stock Types available in the system. It will walk you through what Stock Types are, how they are used in our platform, and how you can select or change them when managing inventory or listings.
1. Mobile Transfer
Definition:
Tickets that are transferred digitally from the seller’s account once the listing is sold.
Key Characteristics:
No instant transfer option, except for integrated markets that use barcodes and reissue.
Mobile tickets display: “Your phone is your entry.”
Tickets are automatically removed from the seller’s account once sold.
Notes/Considerations:
Ensure the buyer receives mobile ticket transfer instructions.
Monitor marketplaces with barcode integrations for any exceptions.
2. Hard Tickets
Definition:
Physical tickets delivered via courier (e.g., UPS).
Key Characteristics:
Only visible in Distribution View; do not appear in Sync Tickets View.
QR codes cannot be rendered in Sync for Hard Stock type tickets; external apps (e.g., Ticketfire) must be used.
Marketplace Status Handling:
Status reflects marketplace rules:
Some markets show Delivered when the airbill is printed.
Others update when tracking begins.
The system does not actively inform marketplaces of status updates for hard tickets.
Notes/Considerations:
3. QR Tickets
Definition:
Digital tickets are represented by a QR code. Can also be listed as Instant Download if attached.
Key Characteristics:
Tickets are mobile/digital and require a QR code for entry.
Cannot be used at venues with rotating barcodes.
QR cannot be rendered if no barcodes are present.
Rendering and delivery:
If barcodes are present, QR can be rendered and attached for delivery as long as tickets are matched.
Can be offered as Instant Download when attached.
Notes/Considerations:
Ensure correct matching of tickets before rendering.
Check venue requirements for rotating barcodes before listing.
Use Render QR carefully to avoid mismatched or unrendered tickets.
4. E-Tickets (PDFs on POS)
Definition:
Digital tickets in PDF format are uploaded to the POS.
Key Characteristics:
PDFs are ingested from the POS if attached and passed along to marketplaces for delivery.
Delivery status is updated for the broker automatically once sent.
Can be offered as Instant Download on a marketplace, as long as PDFs are attached.
Currently, PDFs are not pulled and attached automatically for all sites.
Notes/Considerations:
Ensure PDFs are attached in the POS before listing for delivery or Instant Download.
Monitor delivery status to confirm successful marketplace updates.
5. AXS (Flash Seats)
Definition:
Flash delivery tickets from AXS, a form of mobile transfer with a unique format.
Key Characteristics:
Delivered via Flash Seats.
Although similar to mobile transfer, Flash tickets have different listing rules/disclosures.
Notes/Considerations:
Ensure tickets are properly listed as Flash to avoid errors in the system.
Do not treat Flash tickets exactly like standard mobile transfers due to differences in disclosures and handling.
6. Transferless
Definition:
Tickets delivered via a system-generated URL. Tickets do not leave the purchasing account when this stock type is used.
Key Characteristics:
Delivery is via a URL rather than transferring tickets out of the account.
Transferless delivery is not possible if tickets are listed for resale.
Notes/Considerations:
Verify account eligibility and criteria before using Transferless.
Tickets remain in the original account.
